The Budget Checkout extension introduces powerful budget control capabilities in OroCommerce, enabling businesses to set spending limits at both the Customer and Customer User levels. Budgets can be configured for various time periods—weekly, monthly, quarterly, yearly, or lifetime—making it easy to align purchasing with financial policies.
Key Features & Benefits
Configurable Budget Calculations: A new set of configuration options under System > Websites > Configuration > Commerce > Sales > Checkout > Budget Management enables organizations to define how budgets are calculated. This includes configuring order statuses for budget calculations, budget context entities, and budget calculation sources. Administrators can also choose to automatically delete rejected checkouts to keep the system clean.
Role-Based Access: The extension includes role-based access control, ensuring that only desired storefront users can manage budgets and approve orders exceeding set limits.
Budget Periods: Set budget limits for weekly, monthly, quarterly, yearly, or lifetime periods to match the organization’s budgeting strategy.
Budget Checkout Workflow: A dedicated Budget Checkout workflow supports approvals and rejection steps for orders exceeding budgets.
