The CMS Content Search extension helps customer users quickly find relevant content by integrating landing pages into the website’s search functionality. It enhances autocomplete by adding a tab, creates a dedicated search results page for landing pages, and enables better filtering through categorization.
Key Features & Benefits
Back-Office Configuration: A new set of configuration options under System Configuration > Commerce > Search > Content Search allows administrators to Enable Content Search and optionally (Re)Index Content Pages immediately. Specific landing pages can be excluded from search results by setting Excluded from Website Index to Yes in the page settings; changes apply upon saving.
Enhanced Autocomplete: Adds a separate tab in the autocomplete dropdown for landing pages, improving content visibility and access.
Search Results Page: Displays relevant landing pages in a structured and user-friendly format on a standalone search results page.
Category-Based Filtering: Allows assigning pages to specific categories, enabling refined filtering of search results.
Selective Indexing: Provides the ability to exclude specific landing pages from search indexing to control visibility.
