The Customer Part Number Bundle enables B2B sellers to assign their part numbers (CPNs) for products in the storefront.
A Customer Part Number (CPN) is a unique identifier that may differ from the supplier’s or manufacturer’s SKU, allowing companies to utilize their own naming conventions for better inventory management and system integration. Once enabled via system configuration, customers can assign CPNs from the product view page and use them across the storefront, including in search, quick orders, shopping lists, and checkout.
Key Features & Benefits
Back-Office Configuration: A new system configuration setting is added to System > Configuration > Commerce > Product > Customer Settings > Customer Part Number in the back-office that enables assigning and managing multiple CPNs per product directly from the storefront.
Enhanced Product Search: CPNs are integrated into Product Search, making them searchable through Global Search and the Quick Order Form, allowing faster product access.
Improved Order Accuracy: CPNs are displayed in shopping lists, checkout, and order summaries, reducing product identification errors.
