The Promotions via Email feature enables the generation of links and the automatic activation of coupons on the storefront through email.
It introduces a new “Create a Promotion Coupon Email Campaign“ button on the Customer view page, allowing users to create a new entity directly linked to the customer displayed on the page.
When a storefront user clicks on the generated link (sent via email or other channels), they will be redirected to the storefront. If not already logged in, they will need to sign in. Upon successful login, they will receive a confirmation message indicating that the coupon has been saved. The coupon will then be automatically applied at checkout, provided it meets the promotion’s eligibility criteria.
The number of emails sent and the frequency of link usage are stored for statistical tracking.
